A holding company for digital products
Products we start, buy and look after for good.
Know Whys owns a portfolio of digital products and puts its own team to work on each one, every day. A few outside companies get to borrow that same team for the product they run.
- Our business
- Buying digital products outright and running them in-house.
- Planted
- Four products growing, room for a fifth.
- Counsel
- A few clients at a time, booked up for most of the year.
- What we offer
- Only playbooks we have proven on our own users.
- Right now
- Open to acquisitions. Every message gets read.
- Step 1
Plant
Start from scratch, with a problem people will gladly pay to solve.
- Step 2
Graft
Buy the entire product. We never take a minority stake.
- Step 3
Tend
Our own team works on it, every business day.
- Step 4
Harvest
Lessons from each product feed the one we grow after it.
About
Whatever we own, we operate. Whatever we advise on, we did first.
When we buy a product, we buy all of it, and we hold on to it. The brand stays, the founders' work stays, and it gets our servers, our funding and our developers behind it. We don't watch from a board seat. We push the updates, answer the customer tickets, and bring what one product taught us to the next.
Consulting is the smaller half of the company, and it came second. A tactic reaches a client only after it has run for months on our infrastructure, with our users and our budget paying for whatever went wrong. We keep the client list short deliberately.

Counsel
Beyond our own portfolio, we work alongside a small number of companies on the calls that decide whether a digital product keeps climbing or levels off. Each area below comes straight from a product we operate today.

Principles
We try it on ourselves first.
Any advice we give has already cost us money, time and a few mistakes with our own users.
Small on purpose.
We keep the portfolio tight. Most requests we get each year are declined, and we tell people fast.
Clients stay private.
No case studies, no row of logos, no public client list. Who we work with is nobody else's business.
Built to last.
We would rather have steady growth that holds for five years than one quarter that looks great on a chart.
